Çarşamba Spor Kulübü's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Körfez JK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Çarşamba Spor Kulübü's Doğaner Çelik got a free kick in the 7th minute. Çarşamba Spor Kulübü's Baybars Üstün played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azmi Öktuna in the 12th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Çarşamba Spor Kulübü got a freekick which was hit by Doğaner Çelik. Yalçın Tanbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özgün Karasu having to interfere. Özgün Karasu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarık Şeref in the 18th minute of the match. Özgün Karasu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarık Şeref in the 19th minute of play. Gökçek Zaim's late challenge caught a Körfez JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gökçek Zaim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Gökçek Zaim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Seyhan Oylum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azmi Öktuna might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baybars Üstün. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Azmi Öktuna ran back to his position shaking his head. Seyhan Oylum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Baybars Üstün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seyhan Oylum struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Baybars Üstün didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Körfez JK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Seyhan Oylum got free with Baybars Üstün in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Özgün Karasu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yalçın Tanbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 55th minute Azmi Öktuna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baybars Üstün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilmi Atlıhan hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Baybars Üstün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Azmi Öktuna in the 62nd minute of the match. Baybars Üstün showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azmi Öktuna, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. During the 74th minute of the match Tarık Şeref completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tarık Şeref a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tarık Şeref kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match.
