Kecierengücü's Emran Sönmezalp got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kecierengücü's goalkeeper Arda Baybars Nurdag, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Kartalspor getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Müfit Işık hit a great ball. Sait Uğuz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yusuf Ayhan in the 27th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Kartalspor's Birant Talay made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arda Baybars Nurdag was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Birant Talay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Birant Talay made a kick off. When Birant Talay in the 87th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Arda Baybars Nurdag kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 93 minutes into the match, Kartalspor's Birant Talay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arda Baybars Nurdag narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kartalspor walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
