Milli Gençlik's Ali Emir Bintuğ got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute of the match, Dinçer Fırıncıoğlu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but İldeniz Aygüneş saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Milli Gençlik's Aykan Şahinter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edip İlksen in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Milli Gençlik's Dinçer Fırıncıoğlu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind İldeniz Aygüneş. İldeniz Aygüneş yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Galatasarayburnu were furious when Hüsamettin Cenger was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 26th minute, one of Galatasarayburnu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galatasarayburnu. When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, Milli Gençlik's Berkan Tolga got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of İldeniz Aygüneş. 39 minutes into the match, Edip İlksen notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Milli Gençlik's Aykan Şahinter. Aykan Şahinter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alim Öksak in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aykan Şahinter saved Milli Gençlik from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinçer Fırıncıoğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Ali Emir Bintuğ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Milli Gençlik and the Galatasarayburnu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ali Emir Bintuğ kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Milli Gençlik's zone, Edip İlksen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aykan Şahinter came out of the goal and Edip İlksen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aykan Şahinter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alim Öksak in the 54th minute. Aykan Şahinter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edip İlksen in the 56th minute of the match. Edip İlksen kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Korkutalp Özengin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 68 minutes, Alim Öksak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasarayburnu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alim Öksak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edip İlksen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Aykan Şahinter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Eray Tayfur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasarayburnu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milli Gençlik the free kick. In the 87th match minute, Milli Gençlik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Korkutalp Özengin to maneuver through the defense. If Alim Öksak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Milli Gençlik's Aykan Şahinter got control of the ball when Alim Öksak tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Edip İlksen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aykan Şahinter was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 93 minutes into the game, Edip İlksen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aykan Şahinter. Edip İlksen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Galatasarayburnu were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Milli Gençlik to leave the ground with a draw.
