Göktuğ Tayfun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsmet Kızılateş having to interfere. Tirebolu's Battal İltay got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Hızır Özçınar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Göktuğ Tayfun came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Tokat SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göktuğ Tayfun couldn't finish the play. Beyhan Eryildiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsmet Kızılateş having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Tokat SK's İsmet Kızılateş threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Göktuğ Tayfun, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

Alpay Kiray made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Battal İltay sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Tokat SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tirebolu:s goal. The referee gave Tirebolu a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Duman Afgan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tokat SK's Alpay Kiray. 1-2. Tirebolu's Battal İltay got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 minutes of play, Tokat SK's Göktuğ Tayfun made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. İsmet Kızılateş was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Soner Gaza in the 90th minute of play forced Tirebolu's goalkeeper İsmet Kızılateş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Beyhan Eryildiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İsmet Kızılateş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beyhan Eryildiz in the 99th minute of play forced Tirebolu's goalkeeper İsmet Kızılateş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
