Batuhan Ergünay scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şensoy Şanberk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yıldırım Erçetin's late challenge caught a Cakabey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yıldırım Erçetin helped the player get up and apologised. Yıldırım Erçetin kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Suat Fırıncı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Suat Fırıncı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruhi Halıcıoğlu having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Cakabey's goal looked a bit too open when Batuhan Ergünay came free, but Şensoy Şanberk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute of the match İsmail Hakkı Hallaçoğlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şensoy Şanberk skillfully saved the ball. Hakkı Onur Uzalp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ruhi Halıcıoğlu made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Suat Fırıncı in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruhi Halıcıoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nebi Kızılateş in the 30th minute of play forced Cakabey's goalkeeper Şensoy Şanberk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Nebi Kızılateş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şensoy Şanberk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Batuhan Ergünay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nebi Kızılateş in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şensoy Şanberk saved Cakabey from getting behind. Batuhan Ergünay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şensoy Şanberk having to interfere. After the first half Saraybahce FK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nebi Kızılateş stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Batuhan Ergünay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şensoy Şanberk having to interfere. Suat Fırıncı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruhi Halıcıoğlu having to interfere. Şensoy Şanberk came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Saraybahce FK's Batuhan Ergünay. But to his dismay, Batuhan Ergünay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 72 minutes, Hakkı Onur Uzalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cakabey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hakkı Onur Uzalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Batuhan Ergünay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alkan Abay hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ahmet Kadri Şeref received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Şensoy Şanberk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cakabey's zone, Batuhan Ergünay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şensoy Şanberk came out of the goal and Batuhan Ergünay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nebi Kızılateş in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şensoy Şanberk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Hakkı Onur Uzalp came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Cakabey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hakkı Onur Uzalp couldn't finish the play. The Saraybahce FK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
