An unexpectedly hard shot by Sarper Tomurcuk in the 19th minute of play forced Kapalicarsi's goalkeeper Zeki Dilsaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Savaşer Bozdağ got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Savaşer Bozdağ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Vefa Ferhat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savaşer Bozdağ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeki Dilsaz having to interfere. Sarper Tomurcuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Zeki Dilsaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Sarper Tomurcuk made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Aksarayspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Ediz Açıkgün to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kapalicarsi's goalkeeper Zeki Dilsaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 played minutes, Aksarayspor's Baki Acaröz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zeki Dilsaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aksarayspor reached it. Despite being the better team, Aksarayspor failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
