After a rather tough play, ALTAY's Kuzey Işılay got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vacid Köker in the 27th minute of play forced ALTAY's goalkeeper Özmen Salikbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oğuzalp Uruk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Özmen Salikbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oğuzalp Uruk in the 30th minute of the match. Beşir Burçak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Beşir Burçak came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the ALTAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beşir Burçak couldn't finish the play. If Cumhur Ulukaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Özmen Salikbey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oğuzalp Uruk, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Özmen Salikbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oğuzalp Uruk in the 45th minute of the match. After some careless play in the ALTAY defense, Oğuzalp Tunçkol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Özmen Salikbey. The ALTAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Özmen Salikbey should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vacid Köker was the one to do the kick off. Şükrü Tezal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beşir Burçak's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Özmen Salikbey made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Can Tanyeli sent off a good shot on target. If Can Tanyeli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kuzey Işılay kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes ALTAY got a freekick which was hit by Nazım Tezalp. Özmen Salikbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oğuzalp Uruk in the 66th minute of the match. Özmen Salikbey was a little too slow when Can Tanyeli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-2. When Ruhi Yetiş fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ALTAY's protests and gave Ruhi Yetiş a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ALTAY's Ruhi Yetiş got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 91 played minutes ALTAY got a freekick which was hit by Hasan Tahsin Tunay. The supporters of ilkadım booed when ALTAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Tahsin Tunay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beşir Burçak in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şükrü Tezal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over ilkadım could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ALTAY throughout the match.
