The audience thought a goal was coming when Baturay Şanalp got free with Ataman Çokman in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cem Yalçıner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ataman Çokman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 16 minutes, Sariyahsi FK's Cihat Şamil got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ataman Çokman. The supporters of Sariyahsi FK booed when Ballıkuyu SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Talip Onul didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Cem Yalçıner took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ataman Çokman to make any attempt to save it. In the 23rd minute of the match, Cem Yalçıner tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ataman Çokman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ballıkuyu SK's Hüsrev Şükran quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Niyazi Onaran, made in the 29th minute of the game. Ataman Siraceddin might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vacid Bağcı. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ataman Siraceddin ran back to his position shaking his head. The throw-in from Cihat Şamil in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ballıkuyu SK's Talip Onul. Baturay Şanalp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Ataman Çokman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sariyahsi FK's Cem Yalçıner was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 46th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ataman Siraceddin to strike the kick off in the second half. Ataman Çokman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cem Yalçıner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aşık Evcimen during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ataman Çokman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baturay Şanalp in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Ballıkuyu SK's goal looked a bit too open when Cem Yalçıner came free, but Ataman Çokman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sariyahsi FK fully deserved thier win.
