The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emrullah Yusuf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Muammer Akdoruk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Muammer Akdoruk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hayri Hatim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ozan Akbilge having to interfere. The supporters of Yerdeki Yıldızlar booed when Olympos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayri Hatim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ozan Akbilge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hıncal Dirayet in the 18th minute of play. Muammer Akdoruk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sefa Kazakhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet İlke Sayman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sefa Kazakhan ran back to his position shaking his head. Olympos's Muammer Akdoruk got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Olympos's Edip İmar got a free kick in the 29th minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Yahya Kerem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yerdeki Yıldızlar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yahya Kerem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 minutes, Hıncal Dirayet made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Yerdeki Yıldızlar's Ozan Akbilge tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Hıncal Dirayet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Sebati Adışanlı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yerdeki Yıldızlar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olympos the free kick. When Hayri Hatim came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Olympos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hayri Hatim couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ozan Akbilge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muammer Akdoruk, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Hayri Hatim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hayri Hatim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Muammer Akdoruk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Muammer Akdoruk fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Emrullah Yusuf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
