An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Tan Tardu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hami Öztunç's late challenge caught a Ekinözü SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fahri Kuthan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Çetin Tanyeli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. If Mahir Dengizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tan Tardu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Çetin Tanyeli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Çetin Tanyeli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fahri Kuthan in the 91st minute of play. After 96 played minutes Ekinözü SK got a freekick which was hit by Yaşar Nuri Cumhur. The ÇerkezköySpor A.ş supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ÇerkezköySpor A.ş would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
