Zekeriya Sezgi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Ahmet Korcan Özker came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the KOPUZLAR FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Korcan Özker couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute of the match Ömer Rıza Polat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Baki Dündar skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to KOPUZLAR FK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nizam Karakaya hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Serdar Kabataş took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ahmet Baki Dündar to make any attempt to save it. Ahmet Baki Dündar made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Hıdır Çelebioğlu sent off a good shot on target. If Ünal Yıldırımtürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in galatasaray's zone, Ahmet Korcan Özker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zekeriya Sezgi came out of the goal and Ahmet Korcan Özker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Korcan Özker was the one to do the kick off. Zekeriya Sezgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Korcan Özker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Korcan Özker struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Zekeriya Sezgi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KOPUZLAR FK. After having played for 64 minutes, Bedih Çetinsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bedih Çetinsoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 played minutes KOPUZLAR FK got a freekick which was hit by Nizam Karakaya. Hıdır Çelebioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. galatasaray's Bedih Çetinsoy got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Ahmet Nasir Hacıağa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 2-1 became the score in the 86th minute when Bedih Çetinsoy elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Hıdır Çelebioğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, KOPUZLAR FK's Nizam Karakaya got a free kick in the 91st minute. galatasaray's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
