After 6 played minutes Kelkit got a freekick which was hit by Gencalp Taygun. When Kelkit's İskender Baki Lut in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Findikli SK's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reis Yamaner got free with Turgut Ugraş in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baha Ülgü made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İskender Baki Lut in the 13th minute of play. If Baturalp Ergünay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Findikli SK's Barlas Resul got a free kick in the 15th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Findikli SK's goal looked a bit too open when İskender Baki Lut came free, but Baha Ülgü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İskender Baki Lut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Findikli SK's zone, İskender Baki Lut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baha Ülgü came out of the goal and İskender Baki Lut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If İskender Baki Lut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baturalp Ergünay in the 34th minute of play forced Findikli SK's goalkeeper Baha Ülgü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kelkit's İskender Baki Lut in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Findikli SK's goalie prevented a goal. Findikli SK's Baha Ülgü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baturalp Ergünay in the 43rd minute of play. Baha Ülgü came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Kelkit's İskender Baki Lut. But to his dismay, İskender Baki Lut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 48th minute Baturalp Ergünay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baha Ülgü saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Kelkit were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for İskender Baki Lut to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ferid Hürkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. İskender Baki Lut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baha Ülgü having to interfere. İskender Baki Lut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Findikli SK's Muhsin Mümin got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by İskender Baki Lut in the 68th minute of play forced Findikli SK's goalkeeper Baha Ülgü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baha Ülgü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İskender Baki Lut, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 74 minutes of play, Findikli SK's Ferid Hürkan made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Turgut Ugraş was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Baturalp Ergünay sped through Findikli SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baha Ülgü. If Baturalp Ergünay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Kelkit's İskender Baki Lut ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baha Ülgü. Baha Ülgü yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Baha Ülgü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İskender Baki Lut, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Kelkit's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
