Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ersin Kızılaslan took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Kovancilar's goal looked a bit too open when Ersin Kızılaslan came free, but Mustafa Arif Evcimen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, karsspor's Ali Haktanır got control of the ball when Hayrullah Onursay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ali Haktanır stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kutalp Sidar's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Tansu Revis kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ali Haktanır made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hasan Ali Uzman in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Kutalp Sidar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kovancilar's supporters rose to their feet, but Kutalp Sidar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Haktanır breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ersin Kızılaslan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to karsspor getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ardahan User hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in karsspor's zone, Kutalp Sidar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Haktanır came out of the goal and Kutalp Sidar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, karsspor's Çağan Raid got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Kutalp Sidar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ali Haktanır tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Halil Can Genişyürek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the karsspor and the Kovancilar players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kovancilar booed when karsspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halil Can Genişyürek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kutalp Sidar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hasan Ali Uzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Haktanır having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kutalp Sidar to strike the kick off in the second half. Kutalp Sidar struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ali Haktanır didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kovancilar. Kovancilar's Mustafa Arif Evcimen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Kovancilar from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, karsspor's goal looked a bit too open when Kutalp Sidar came free, but Ali Haktanır reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the karsspor defense, Hasan Ali Uzman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Haktanır. The karsspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Haktanır should have stopped the shot. Vacib Oksu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Mustafa Arif Evcimen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Kutalp Sidar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kovancilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kutalp Sidar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72ndth minute of the game Hasan Ali Uzman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but karsspor's Ali Haktanır was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ersin Kızılaslan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Arif Evcimen having to interfere. karsspor's Halil Can Genişyürek got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Halil Can Genişyürek off the ground. Halil Can Genişyürek kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Hasan Ali Uzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ali Haktanır tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the karsspor defense, Kutalp Sidar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Haktanır. The karsspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Haktanır should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Kutalp Sidar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hasan Ali Uzman in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Haktanır prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Çağan Raid kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kutalp Sidar in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Haktanır saved karsspor from getting behind. If Hasan Ali Uzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Ersin Kızılaslan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kutalp Sidar might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Haktanır. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kutalp Sidar ran back to his position shaking his head. Kovancilar's Tansu Revis suffered a concussion after 97 minutes and had to leave the field. When the referee ended the match the Kovancilar players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
