In the 4th minute, Halis Yavuzay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sinan Derinöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Ilgaz's Korhan Usun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdulhamit Ersezer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Abdulhamit Ersezer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Korhan Usun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdulhamit Ersezer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korhan Usun in the 42nd minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Ataman Rafih was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahceköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilgaz the free kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Korhan Usun made a kick off. Alim Tümerkin came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Bahceköy's Okanalp Kamber. But to his dismay, Okanalp Kamber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 59 minutes into the match, Bahceköy's Halis Yavuzay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alim Tümerkin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Ilgaz got a freekick which was hit by Metin Özsan. Abdulhamit Ersezer made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Sinan Derinöz sent off a good shot on target. Okanalp Kamber struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Alim Tümerkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahceköy. Metin Özsan's late challenge caught a Bahceköy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Metin Özsan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st minute, Metin Özsan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Metin Özsan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilgaz's supporters rose to their feet, but Metin Özsan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdulhamit Ersezer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bahceköy's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Korhan Usun 89 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1.
