Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nusret Terim took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Çağatay Bekata got free with Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of POLAT FC booed when Izmirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caner Deveci didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Izmirspor's Ata Direnç in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye POLAT FC's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the game, Ahmet Yahya Öner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. POLAT FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Izmirspor the free kick. In the 16th minute of the match Binali Tükelay shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bayezit Diriğ showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ata Direnç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Caner Deveci fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izmirspor's protests and gave Caner Deveci a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Izmirspor getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Caner Deveci hit a great ball. Çağatay Bekata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Izmirspor's Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nusret Terim in the 22nd minute of play. If Hakkı Deniz Gence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hakkı Deniz Gence's late challenge caught a POLAT FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hakkı Deniz Gence helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of POLAT FC booed when Izmirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı Deniz Gence didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, POLAT FC's Ahmet Yahya Öner got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Hakkı Deniz Gence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, Izmirspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nedim Ünsan to maneuver through the defense. Nusret Terim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nusret Terim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ata Direnç to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nusret Terim in the 52nd minute of play forced Izmirspor's goalkeeper Yavuz Selim Sertaçgil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bayezit Diriğ made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakkı Deniz Gence in the 57th minute. Hakkı Deniz Gence came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bayezit Diriğ could save by the left post. 64 minutes into the match, POLAT FC's goalkeeper Bayezit Diriğ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hakkı Deniz Gence. POLAT FC's Çağatay Bekata got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hakkı Deniz Gence scored 1-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bayezit Diriğ, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hakkı Deniz Gence who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Bayezit Diriğ when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When POLAT FC's Nusret Terim in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Izmirspor's goalie prevented a goal. Ata Direnç's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bayezit Diriğ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Hakkı Deniz Gence might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bayezit Diriğ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hakkı Deniz Gence ran back to his position shaking his head. Bayezit Diriğ didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakkı Deniz Gence went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Ata Direnç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bayezit Diriğ having to interfere. The POLAT FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Izmirspor's performance. The match ended with a win for Izmirspor.
