With an all-out effort, Ankara JK's Nuralp Savni threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adem Serdar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nuralp Savni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adem Serdar in the 29th minute of play. In the 36th play minute Kerim Özveri came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nuralp Savni. 2-0. In the 48th minute, Çetin Zekai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 49 minutes into the match, Uğur Onursan sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Nuralp Savni threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Uğur Onursan this time. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerim Özveri in the 53rd minute of play forced Maniacs Army's goalkeeper Nuralp Savni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Maniacs Army fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuralp Savni should have stopped the shot. Ankara JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Adem Serdar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuralp Savni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
