Melikgazi's Yağız Akkın proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Melikgazi from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Melikgazi defense, Sezgin Berat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yağız Akkın. The Melikgazi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yağız Akkın should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barışcan Onat made a kick off. Barışcan Onat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Samim Sarıoğlu made a huge save. Bilge Çakmur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th match minute, Turan Gençlik Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fetih Demiralp to maneuver through the defense. Melikgazi's Bilge Çakmur got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barışcan Onat's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Samim Sarıoğlu firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 67 minutes, Münir Behzat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Turan Gençlik Spor and the Melikgazi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Melikgazi's Barışcan Onat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samim Sarıoğlu. That made the score 2-3 after 93 minutes of play. The Turan Gençlik Spor supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Melikgazi's performance. The match ended with a win for Melikgazi.
