Özdemir Tapgaç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barışcan Onat, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Kubat Ayazoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Başakşehir SK's Sadri Tayfur got a free kick in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barışcan Onat in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Özdemir Tapgaç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Başakşehir SK's zone, Hıdır Çetinalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Özdemir Tapgaç came out of the goal and Hıdır Çetinalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Sadri Tayfur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Melikgazi getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Berker Rıza Kuntman hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the game, Ahmet Çağrı Bintuğ was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Başakşehir SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melikgazi the free kick. A collision led to Başakşehir SK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ahmet Çağrı Bintuğ hit a great ball. Özdemir Tapgaç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barışcan Onat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Barışcan Onat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özdemir Tapgaç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Özdemir Tapgaç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barışcan Onat in the 44th minute of the match.

After 53rd play minutes Barışcan Onat shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Özdemir Tapgaç and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 57th minute Hıdır Çetinalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özdemir Tapgaç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet İlke Baransel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yağız Akkın having to interfere. Özdemir Tapgaç made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barışcan Onat in the 61st minute. Berker Rıza Kuntman hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. When Barışcan Onat came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Melikgazi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barışcan Onat couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Barışcan Onat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Özdemir Tapgaç. The goal made the score 0-3. Sadri Tayfur kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With his leg Özdemir Tapgaç managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Melikgazi's Barışcan Onat fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Melikgazi's Ceyhan Cangiray got a free kick in the 80th minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Barışcan Onat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melikgazi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barışcan Onat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Başakşehir SK's Özdemir Tapgaç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barışcan Onat in the 88th minute of play. Özdemir Tapgaç was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Barışcan Onat showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 91 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Melikgazi left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Başakşehir SK.
