When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abbas Canbolat made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Beşiktaş's zone, Reşat Birtan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demir Tanberk came out of the goal and Reşat Birtan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenan Payam got free with Demir Tanberk in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reşat Birtan in the 63rd minute of play forced Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Demir Tanberk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş's Arman Erengüç got a free kick in the 65th minute. After recieving a nice pass, KaraŞimşek's Gürbüz Tanyol tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
