With an all-out effort, Mkj's Nafiz Aydın threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nusrettin Ekin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 47thth minute of the game Nusrettin Ekin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gönen's Nafiz Aydın was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nusrettin Ekin to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Gönen got a freekick which was hit by Akşemseddin İpek. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Murat Yalman put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Baturalp Hızarcı. Ahmet Koralp Cenan's late challenge caught a Mkj's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Koralp Cenan helped the player get up and apologised. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gönen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
