Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Besiktas FK's Atahan Gürçınar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erim Tanak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Atahan Gürçınar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. GALATASARAY's Halim Özyurt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atahan Gürçınar in the 21st minute of play. When Fatih Coşar came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Besiktas FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fatih Coşar couldn't finish the play. Selmi Vahap stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Savaşer Kerimhan's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Selmi Vahap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erim Tanak in the 27th minute. Halim Özyurt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anıl Arda Lebib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Devrim Reis to maneuver through the defense. After 35 minutes GALATASARAY's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lemi İrem who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Batı İsiman got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 35 minutes into the match. Halim Özyurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fatih Coşar in the 39th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Savaşer Kerimhan was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Atahan Gürçınar took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Halim Özyurt to make any attempt to save it. After 58 played minutes, Besiktas FK's Lemi İrem shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Halim Özyurt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Besiktas FK reached it. Halim Özyurt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atahan Gürçınar, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Fatih Coşar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute of the match GALATASARAY got a corner. Besiktas FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mithat Tor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fatih Coşars short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Halim Özyurt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Halim Özyurt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute Atahan Gürçınar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halim Özyurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baki Sebati to maneuver through the defense. Fatih Coşar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halim Özyurt having to interfere. Halim Özyurt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atahan Gürçınar in the 82nd minute of the match. Atahan Gürçınar might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Halim Özyurt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atahan Gürçınar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86thth minute of the game Atahan Gürçınar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY's Halim Özyurt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fatih Coşar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Halim Özyurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Besiktas FK got a freekick which was hit by Batı İsiman. If Savaşer Kerimhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Besiktas FK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
