Vahdet Pekalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arif Bilge Yükselir in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Tolga Erentürk came free, but Vahdet Pekalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vahdet Pekalp was a little too slow when Ahmet Tolga Erentürk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. The supporters of Eleskirt booed when Beşiktaş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tevfik Ayçetin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arif Bilge Yükselir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arif Bilge Yükselir got free with Vahdet Pekalp in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Ahmet Tolga Erentürk fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 34th minute, Tevfik Ayçetin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Ahmet Tolga Erentürk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahdet Pekalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ahmet Tolga Erentürk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vahdet Pekalp. That made the score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. Arif Bilge Yükselir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Tolga Erentürk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vahdet Pekalp having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Ahmet Tolga Erentürk might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vahdet Pekalp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Tolga Erentürk ran back to his position shaking his head. Eleskirt's Ahmet Tolga Erentürk got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ahmet Tolga Erentürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Eleskirt's Ertaç Çiftçioğlu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Eleskirt getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Mümtaz Karataş hit a great ball. Hasret Erincer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Nadir Akçakoca made a huge save. Tevfik Ayçetin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nadir Akçakoca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beşiktaş's Vahdet Pekalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Bilge Yükselir in the 73rd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Gökcan Şerefhan came free, but Vahdet Pekalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleskirt's Ahmet Tolga Erentürk got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tevfik Ayçetin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Nadir Akçakoca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orhan Veli Ülger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nadir Akçakoca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Ahmet Tolga Erentürk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vahdet Pekalp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 91 minutes, Ahmet Tolga Erentürk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eleskirt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Tolga Erentürk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arif Bilge Yükselir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Vahdet Pekalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Eleskirt fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beşiktaş had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
