To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vahdet Pekalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bahadırhan Balyemez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Orhan Veli Ülger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, nankatsu's Afşar Eryiğit tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Bahadırhan Balyemez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahdet Pekalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vahdet Pekalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahadırhan Balyemez, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Bahadırhan Balyemez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vahdet Pekalp having to interfere. Tevfik Ayçetin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Birol Gurbet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, nankatsu's goal looked a bit too open when Barlas Albay came free, but Birol Gurbet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Beşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Bahadırhan Balyemez came free, but Vahdet Pekalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orhan Veli Ülger to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ahmet Hakan Bağcı got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barlas Albay charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barlas Albay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş's Barlas Albay got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Tevfik Ayçetin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beşiktaş's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave nankatsu the free kick. In the 57th minute, Tevfik Ayçetin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vahdet Pekalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahadırhan Balyemez, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Vahdet Pekalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahadırhan Balyemez in the 69th minute of the match. Bahadırhan Balyemez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vahdet Pekalp having to interfere. Beşiktaş's Vahdet Pekalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahadırhan Balyemez in the 76th minute of play. When Zafer Nasih came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the nankatsu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zafer Nasih couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes in the game, Bahadırhan Balyemez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vahdet Pekalp having to interfere. If Orhan Veli Ülger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to nankatsu getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ahmet Hakan Bağcı hit a great ball. Birol Gurbet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orhan Veli Ülger in the 90th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
