After 4 played minutes Nöniki got a freekick which was hit by Giray Vefai. After having played for 7 minutes, Eray İdrisoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nöniki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eray İdrisoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilla Bumin Şaki during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Nöniki booed when Beşiktaş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilla Bumin Şaki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eray İdrisoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vahdet Pekalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Beşiktaş defense, Işıkalp Aurelio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vahdet Pekalp. Eray İdrisoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vahdet Pekalp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th minute Eray İdrisoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahdet Pekalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orhan Veli Ülger was the one to do the kick off. Hasret Erincer kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Nöniki's Özmen Uysal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Vahdet Pekalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eray İdrisoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eray İdrisoğlu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vahdet Pekalp. That made the score 1-4 in the 80 minute of play. Giray Vefai kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Işıkalp Aurelio scored 1-5 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vahdet Pekalp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Beşiktaş's zone, Eray İdrisoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vahdet Pekalp came out of the goal and Eray İdrisoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
