Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tercan's Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avni Boratay during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Avni Boratay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Tercan's Esat Buyruk tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tercan's goalkeeper Fikret Abay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tercan's Fikret Abay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuri Pehlivan in the 11th minute of play. Baha İlke kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Kilyos FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Erhun Oktan hit a great ball. Ali Nabi Sidar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc in the 17th minute of the match. Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Nabi Sidar having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Tercan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc couldn't finish the play. Korkut Dalmaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ali Nabi Sidar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Nabi Sidar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Tercan's Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Nabi Sidar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Tercan's Baha İlke ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ali Nabi Sidar. Ali Nabi Sidar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Kilyos FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Mümtaz Alyakut hit a great ball. With a little luck, Tercan's Fikret Abay got control of the ball when Atak Ülgen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nuri Pehlivan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baha İlke kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Mümtaz Alyakut fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kilyos FC's protests and gave Mümtaz Alyakut a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, Mümtaz Alyakut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute of the match Esat Buyruk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Nabi Sidar skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Tercan's Fikret Abay got control of the ball when Atak Ülgen tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc in the 72nd minute of play forced Kilyos FC's goalkeeper Ali Nabi Sidar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baha İlke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Nabi Sidar having to interfere. Ali Nabi Sidar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute Baha İlke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Nabi Sidar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kilyos FC's zone, Baha İlke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Nabi Sidar came out of the goal and Baha İlke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Nabi Sidar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atıf Taib received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ali Nabi Sidar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Baha İlke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tercan's supporters rose to their feet, but Baha İlke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Nabi Sidar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ali Nabi Sidar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Kilyos FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Tercan had controlled the match.
