Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Doğa Çalkın started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahattin Pamir in the 3rd minute of play forced Merinos JK's goalkeeper Abay Temizkanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Bahattin Pamir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edremit SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bahattin Pamir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abay Temizkanoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th match minute, Merinos JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adem Ersevim to maneuver through the defense. Abay Temizkanoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bahattin Pamir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute of the match Edremit SK got a corner. Merinos JK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet İlke Saim ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edremit SK's Ahmet İlke Saim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abay Temizkanoğlu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 13 minutes Merinos JK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ahmet İlke Saim who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Edremit SK's Ahmet İlke Saim to fire away a dangerous shot which Abay Temizkanoğlu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 14th minute, Adem Ersevim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doğa Çalkın in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arif Nihat Ülküm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abay Temizkanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahattin Pamir in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Edremit SK booed when Merinos JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferhat Yazargil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doğa Çalkın's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arif Nihat Ülküm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Arif Nihat Ülküm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğa Çalkın in the 42nd minute of play. Edremit SK's Arif Nihat Ülküm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doğa Çalkın in the 47th minute of play. The Edremit SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merinos JK were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bahattin Pamir to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Ferhat Yazargil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merinos JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferhat Yazargil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bahattin Pamir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abay Temizkanoğlu having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Merinos JK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Ali Özdurdu came free, but Abay Temizkanoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haldun Recep struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Arif Nihat Ülküm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merinos JK. Edremit SK's Bahattin Pamir got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Ahmet Ali Özdurdu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Ali Özdurdu in the 77th minute of play forced Merinos JK's goalkeeper Abay Temizkanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Edremit SK's Arif Nihat Ülküm got control of the ball when Doğa Çalkın tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bahattin Pamir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes, Abdülhak İstikbal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merinos JK and the Edremit SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes Merinos JK got a freekick which was hit by Abdülhak İstikbal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Merinos JK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
