Cengizhan Yatuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vahdet Torehan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 15th minute Necip Fazıl Tanyeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fikret Abay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cihangir SK booed when Tercan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behiç Mutlualp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Ertaç Sağbilge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cihangir SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ertaç Sağbilge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fikret Abay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Necip Fazıl Tanyeli in the 20th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Karadeniz Seccac in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Necip Fazıl Tanyeli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fikret Abay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karadeniz Seccac in the 32nd minute of play. If Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, one of Tercan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Cihangir SK a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ertaç Sağbilge, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tercan's Fikret Abay. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tercan's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vahdet Torehan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75thth minute of the game Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cihangir SK's Vahdet Torehan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Tercan's Ahmet Sedat Özerdinc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vahdet Torehan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karadeniz Seccac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karadeniz Seccac struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Fikret Abay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cihangir SK. Karadeniz Seccac did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Fikret Abay 93 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cihangir SK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
