Kutlualp Temizsan started the match with the kick off. Kürşat Rahmet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kutlualp Temizsan, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 5 minutes, Cebrail Songün mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bayburt and the Izmirspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alaaddin Uraza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Burhan Kadrettin in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Izmirspor's goalkeeper Kürşat Rahmet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raşit Nizami hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Izmirspor's Alaaddin Uraza threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmet Kutsi Sabuncuoğlu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kutlualp Temizsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kutlualp Temizsan in the 24th minute of play forced Izmirspor's goalkeeper Kürşat Rahmet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kutlualp Temizsan's late challenge caught a Izmirspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kutlualp Temizsan helped the player get up and apologised. Haydar Sebih scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kürşat Rahmet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raşit Nizami kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Bayburt were awarded a corner. Mehmet Halis Kartal went to the cornerflag to take it. Mehmet Halis Kartal made a great header on Bayburt's corner, it was just that Izmirspor's Kürşat Rahmet managed to reach the ball for a save. Alaaddin Uraza made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Burhan Kadrettin sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Kutsi Sabuncuoğlu made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Burhan Kadrettin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izmirspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Burhan Kadrettin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alaaddin Uraza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 56 minutes, Ahmet Kutsi Sabuncuoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izmirspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Kutsi Sabuncuoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 minutes, Raşit Nizami mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Izmirspor and the Bayburt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Izmirspor's Raşit Nizami got a free kick in the 57th minute. Kürşat Rahmet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kutlualp Temizsan's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Burhan Kadrettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaaddin Uraza having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kutlualp Temizsan in the 79th minute of play forced Izmirspor's goalkeeper Kürşat Rahmet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alaaddin Uraza came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Izmirspor's Ahmet Kutsi Sabuncuoğlu. But to his dismay, Ahmet Kutsi Sabuncuoğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Alaaddin Uraza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Kutsi Sabuncuoğlu in the 85th minute of the match. Alaaddin Uraza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Burhan Kadrettin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bayburt's Tunç Erensoy got a free kick in the 88th minute. Burhan Kadrettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaaddin Uraza having to interfere. If Burhan Kadrettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bayburt walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
