Abay Uruk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuratay Maksum, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute Refik Şerif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teoman Temizel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hacı Dilercan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teoman Temizel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hacı Dilercan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Mehmet Oğuz Soyurgal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes, Necip Pekel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ankaralı and the Babalar Spor Klübü players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehmet Oğuz Soyurgal in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abay Uruk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Babalar Spor Klübü's Aybars Topuz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Teoman Temizel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hacı Dilercan in the 86th minute. After 88 played minutes Babalar Spor Klübü got a freekick which was hit by Mesut Varlık. After some careless play in the Babalar Spor Klübü defense, Mehmet Oğuz Soyurgal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abay Uruk. The Babalar Spor Klübü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abay Uruk should have stopped the shot. After 93 played minutes Babalar Spor Klübü got a freekick which was hit by Tunç Sarıdoğan. Babalar Spor Klübü's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
