If Reha Halıcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Batı Ulukaan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yalçın Tancan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tanju Urluk in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hazar Taylan in the 15th minute of play forced Arpacay's goalkeeper Seyfettin Özaktuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kocaeli idman yurdu were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Arpacay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tamer Yavuz took the corner. The corner led Kocaeli idman yurdu's Tamer Yavuz to fire away a dangerous shot which Seyfettin Özaktuğ despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 21 minutes, Reha Halıcı made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Kocaeli idman yurdu's Yalçın Tancan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Yalçın Tancan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanju Urluk, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Batı Ulukaan came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Kocaeli idman yurdu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Batı Ulukaan couldn't finish the play. Seyfettin Özaktuğ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hazar Taylan, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 36 minutes, Babür Tuncaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kocaeli idman yurdu and the Arpacay players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes Kocaeli idman yurdu got a freekick which was hit by Babür Tuncaral. In the 41st minute, Arpacay's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Batı Ulukaan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 44 minutes, Reha Halıcı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arpacay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reha Halıcı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Kocaeli idman yurdu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arpacay were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reha Halıcı stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arpacay's Seyfettin Özaktuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Atasoy in the 51st minute of play. Tanju Urluk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hazar Taylan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seyfettin Özaktuğ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Kocaeli idman yurdu's Ömer Atasoy got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seyfettin Özaktuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hazar Taylan in the 61st minute of play. With a little luck, Kocaeli idman yurdu's Yalçın Tancan got control of the ball when Tanju Urluk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arpacay's Reha Halıcı got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yalçın Tancan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reha Halıcı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yalçın Tancan was a little too slow when Reha Halıcı got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-2. Tanju Urluk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yalçın Tancan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Tanju Urluk in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yalçın Tancan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Yalçın Tancan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reha Halıcı in the 85th minute of play. Kocaeli idman yurdu's Yalçın Tancan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reha Halıcı in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Kocaeli idman yurdu's goalkeeper Yalçın Tancan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tanju Urluk. After 93 played minutes Kocaeli idman yurdu got a freekick which was hit by Hadi Ongu. Ahmet Hamdi Hür's shot from long distance in the 94th minute was not bad at all, but Kocaeli idman yurdu's Yalçın Tancan knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Arpacay's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
