Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ersan İlkutay started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Amed spor's Necdet Sezmen got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Recai Mürşit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ersan İlkutay in the 3rd minute of play. When Güven Çırakoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amed spor's protests and gave Güven Çırakoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Amed spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güven Çırakoğlu to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, Amed spor's Şansal Akdurmuş nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bulut Çevikcan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 10th minute, Vahdet Sakman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bulut Çevikcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şansal Akdurmuş in the 28th minute of the match. Şansal Akdurmuş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Bulut Çevikcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Birol Şakir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Umut Akyüz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ortaköy's Bulut Çevikcan didn't even have to move. Ortaköy's Ersan İlkutay got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Recai Mürşit managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Ortaköy's Vahdet Sakman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 45th minute, Güven Çırakoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Amed spor getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Rıza Eraksan hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bulut Çevikcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şansal Akdurmuş in the 81st minute of play. Şansal Akdurmuş was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 84 minutes into the match, Amed spor's goal looked a bit too open when Ersan İlkutay came free, but Recai Mürşit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ersan İlkutay in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Recai Mürşit saved Amed spor from getting behind. Recai Mürşit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vahdet Sakman, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Vahdet Sakman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ortaköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Vahdet Sakman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Recai Mürşit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amed spor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
