In the 18th match minute, Ortaköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birol Şakir to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ortaköy's goalkeeper Bulut Çevikcan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ersan İlkutay in the 35th minute of play forced FC Sırameşeler's goalkeeper Teodoro Serón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Serón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ersan İlkutay's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Teodoro Serón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ersan İlkutay, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Akil Pekin made the kick off in the second half.
