An unexpectedly hard shot by Ejder Sezginay in the 8th minute of play forced Dargecit's goalkeeper Acar Zoral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ayvaz İlkay took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Acar Zoral. Acar Zoral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 14th minute Olcay Sağlamtürk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acar Zoral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cemalettin Safi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Suavi Ahıska having to interfere. Ayberk Coşar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Suavi Ahıska read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Trabzonspor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olcay Sağlamtürk to maneuver through the defense. Dargecit's Selahaddin Mutlutekin got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Çeliktaş kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor FC's Ejder Sezginay got a free kick in the 28th minute. Uluç Akyıldız's late challenge caught a Dargecit's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uluç Akyıldız helped the player get up and apologised. Suavi Ahıska made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ayberk Coşar in the 35th minute of play. Acar Zoral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olcay Sağlamtürk in the 45th minute of play. Suavi Ahıska made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Eralp Akboğa sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ayberk Coşar to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ayberk Coşar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Suavi Ahıska was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Ayvaz İlkay came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Trabzonspor FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ayvaz İlkay couldn't finish the play. Suavi Ahıska took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ayberk Coşar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Olcay Sağlamtürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Dargecit's Selahaddin Mutlutekin got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Acar Zoral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ayvaz İlkay in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dargecit's zone, Olcay Sağlamtürk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Acar Zoral came out of the goal and Olcay Sağlamtürk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Trabzonspor FC defense, Ayberk Coşar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Suavi Ahıska. The Trabzonspor FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Suavi Ahıska should have stopped the shot. Selahaddin Mutlutekin charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Selahaddin Mutlutekin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Dargecit getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Selahaddin Mutlutekin hit a great ball. Olcay Sağlamtürk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acar Zoral having to interfere. Acar Zoral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olcay Sağlamtürk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cemalettin Safi fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dargecit's protests and gave Cemalettin Safi a yellow card for diving instead. When Ayberk Coşar came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Dargecit fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ayberk Coşar couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Trabzonspor FC's Olcay Sağlamtürk dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2.
