To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 15 minutes on the clock, Emre Kavi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 14th minute, one of Günesli:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Günesli. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Karaköy. Mustafa Hakan Özbay stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hayati Seci. 0-1. Kazım Okatay kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Cemal İsrafil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hayati Seci having to make a save. Günesli's Hayati Seci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Metin Akıncı in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yağızalp Dalayer in the 40th minute of play forced Günesli's goalkeeper Hayati Seci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Karaköy's Baran Bilge Aytekin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hayati Seci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 47 minutes into the match, Günesli's Muammer Sanal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artaç Ayık narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Yağızalp Dalayer made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Muammer Sanal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artaç Ayık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Günesli's Hayati Seci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Günesli from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute, Karaköy's Metin Akıncı dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Hayati Seci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cemal İsrafil in the 78th minute. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Günesli's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mustafa Hakan Özbay was slow to take the kick. During this time Karaköy's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Mustafa Hakan Özbay almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Günesli's Hayati Seci did a great save. Cemal İsrafil scored 0-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hayati Seci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karaköy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
