The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Nedim Budak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agah Bürge in the 30th minute. Mustafa Arif Oğuztüzün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Mehmet Afacan in the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th minute Abdi Mehmet Afacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Arif Oğuztüzün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdi Mehmet Afacan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Şaban Arabacı got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nedim Budak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Ferit Güler in the 56th minute of play. If Abdi Mehmet Afacan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 61 minutes, Şaban Arabacı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şaban Arabacı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Affan Aktaşoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Mustafa Arif Oğuztüzün was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abdi Mehmet Afacan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 78 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Galatasaray walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
