Nazil Oğuzbala came out of the goal and Ali Cafer Asya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nazil Oğuzbala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yahya Hürsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Zaid Haspolatlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armutlu FK's Nazil Oğuzbala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Cafer Asya in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Zaid Haspolatlı fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tanju Fazilet, passed just outside the right post. Yahya Hürsoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zaid Haspolatlı might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanju Fazilet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zaid Haspolatlı ran back to his position shaking his head. Üzeyir Yağızkan's late challenge caught a Armutlu FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Üzeyir Yağızkan helped the player get up and apologised. Tanju Fazilet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaid Haspolatlı in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Armutlu FK's Evren Hızlı got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Mudanya FK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mudanya FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Cafer Asya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
