With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mustafa Birol Kabakçı prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Berkem Ortaç kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barbaros Arpacı in the 15th minute of play forced Cayyolu JK's goalkeeper Mustafa Birol Kabakçı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barbaros Arpacı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Birol Kabakçı having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as skgalatasaray's Barbaros Arpacı slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mustafa Birol Kabakçı. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. In the 29th minute Ersan Demirdelen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamit Bircanoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. skgalatasaray's Hamit Bircanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekber Toprak in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the skgalatasaray defense, Ersan Demirdelen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamit Bircanoğlu. The skgalatasaray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamit Bircanoğlu should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ersan Demirdelen to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Yıldırım Yalınay sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and skgalatasaray's Hamit Bircanoğlu didn't even have to move. Hamit Bircanoğlu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Yıldırım Yalınay. Hamit Bircanoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ekber Toprak went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the match, Ersan Demirdelen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hamit Bircanoğlu, 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekber Toprak got free with Hamit Bircanoğlu in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ersan Demirdelen struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Hamit Bircanoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cayyolu JK. In the 92nd minute, Ekber Toprak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cayyolu JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5.
