Gazanfer Akartuna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Özmen İlker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Güner Özinal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gazanfer Akartuna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şükrü Uyarel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Lapseki's Gökçek Eraltay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Güvenç İpekdal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 27th minute, Taner Çetinsoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute of the match Nuri Cankan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Özmen İlker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 32nd match minute, TRUVA SPOR KULÜBÜ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abayhan Dürüst to maneuver through the defense. Ediz Savtekin charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ediz Savtekin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the TRUVA SPOR KULÜBÜ defense, Gökçek Eraltay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Güvenç İpekdal. The TRUVA SPOR KULÜBÜ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Güvenç İpekdal should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in TRUVA SPOR KULÜBÜ's zone, Şükrü Uyarel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güvenç İpekdal came out of the goal and Şükrü Uyarel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şükrü Uyarel was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gökçek Eraltay in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Güvenç İpekdal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Şükrü Uyarel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Güvenç İpekdal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gökçek Eraltay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Güvenç İpekdal was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 78th minute, Gökçek Eraltay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gökçek Eraltay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapseki's supporters rose to their feet, but Gökçek Eraltay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Güvenç İpekdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Güvenç İpekdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökçek Eraltay in the 88th minute of play.
