After 4 played minutes BURSASPOR got a freekick which was hit by Behiç Mengüç. In the 9th minute, Uğuralp Başbuğ fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Atalay Tuncaral, passed just outside the right post. The audience was convinced that Samim Aydıntan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atalay Tuncaral was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Behçet Özgan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Real Hatay FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ali Asım Sevimli hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Samim Aydıntan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atalay Tuncaral was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Uğuralp Başbuğ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saadettin Uralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Atalay Tuncaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atalay Tuncaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Behçet Özgan in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Behçet Özgan managed to get in a good position for a shot. BURSASPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Behçet Özgan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atalay Tuncaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samim Aydıntan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Behçet Özgan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Atalay Tuncaral. That made the score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şaban Berin to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, BURSASPOR's Saadettin Uralp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atalay Tuncaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Lemi Öztarhan fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Hatay FC's protests and gave Lemi Öztarhan a yellow card for diving instead. Lemi Öztarhan kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Real Hatay FC's Atalay Tuncaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uğuralp Başbuğ in the 57th minute of play. Babür Altınkaya kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Saadettin Uralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atalay Tuncaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bektaş Veli Canıtez in the 65th minute of play. Samim Aydıntan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atalay Tuncaral having to interfere. Atalay Tuncaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Behçet Özgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bektaş Veli Canıtez struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Atalay Tuncaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BURSASPOR. In the 75th minute Behçet Özgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atalay Tuncaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Real Hatay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Arif Buğra to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the game, Behçet Özgan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BURSASPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Hatay FC the free kick. The supporters of Real Hatay FC booed when BURSASPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behçet Özgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Behçet Özgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ahmet Korcan Eryetiş charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet Korcan Eryetiş the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BURSASPOR booed when Real Hatay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Korcan Eryetiş didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the BURSASPOR players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
