Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Berkem Gülerce started the match with the kick off. Cat's Gökhan Sıbgatullah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkem Gülerce in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fethi Sorgun in the 8th minute of play forced Istanbul's goalkeeper Alişan Cihaner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Mahir Polat notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cat's Gökhan Sıbgatullah. Gökhan Sıbgatullah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fethi Sorgun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alişan Cihaner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. If Fethi Sorgun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes, Cat's Nihat Taşdan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alişan Cihaner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cat reached it. After having played for 22 minutes, Volkan Semim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Volkan Semim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Volkan Semim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Mahir Polat notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cat's Gökhan Sıbgatullah. Gökhan Sıbgatullah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the match, Cat's Fethi Sorgun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alişan Cihaner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saruhan Ermiye during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Istanbul's Saruhan Ermiye got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Berkem Gülerce came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Istanbul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berkem Gülerce couldn't finish the play. If Mahir Polat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fethi Sorgun to strike the kick off in the second half. Volkan Semim scored 1-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alişan Cihaner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mehmet Özcam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alişan Cihaner. Istanbul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 62 played minutes Istanbul got a freekick which was hit by Arif Ensar Hatim. Alişan Cihaner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volkan Semim, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of Cat booed when Istanbul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saruhan Ermiye didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Volkan Semim in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alişan Cihaner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Volkan Semim in the 77th minute of play forced Istanbul's goalkeeper Alişan Cihaner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 played minutes Istanbul got a freekick which was hit by Ali Asım Raid. In the 80th minute, Ahmet Yahya Torgay sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Istanbul's Alişan Cihaner didn't even have to move. If Mahir Polat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mahir Polat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Gökhan Sıbgatullah made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Volkan Semim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cat's supporters rose to their feet, but Volkan Semim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alişan Cihaner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Istanbul players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
