In the 10th minute Ataman Oğuztüzün shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baha Melih saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Arif Erginay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Baha Melih made a huge save. After 16 played minutes cobanspor got a freekick which was hit by Yetkin Akarsu. When Ataman Oğuztüzün came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Dörtyol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ataman Oğuztüzün couldn't finish the play. Ataman Oğuztüzün fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baha Melih having to interfere. When Olcay Başkaynak fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored cobanspor's protests and gave Olcay Başkaynak a yellow card for diving instead.
