The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7thth minute of the game Necat Tokcan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mersin's Ferman Şah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Mersin defense, Necat Tokcan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferman Şah. The Mersin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferman Şah should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necat Tokcan in the 16th minute of play forced Mersin's goalkeeper Ferman Şah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mersin getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alkan Nasreddin hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Rahim Ahi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferman Şah showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alkan Nasreddin kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When Kiraz's Necat Tokcan in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mersin's goalie prevented a goal. After 23 played minutes, Kiraz's Rahim Ahi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ferman Şah came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kiraz reached it. When Kiraz's Necat Tokcan in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mersin's goalie prevented a goal. Samet Akarslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Vedat Mutluay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rahim Ahi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, Kiraz's Rahim Ahi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferman Şah made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 39 played minutes Kiraz got a freekick which was hit by Şinasi Ataergin. When Kiraz's Necat Tokcan in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mersin's goalie prevented a goal. If Cabbar Bircan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Necat Tokcan made the kick off in the second half. Ferman Şah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uğuralp Erdemli in the 54th minute of play. Necat Tokcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferman Şah having to interfere. If Samet Akarslan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rahim Ahi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cabbar Bircan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vedat Mutluay was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Necat Tokcan got free with Ferman Şah in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cabbar Bircan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Savaş Merdan's late challenge caught a Kiraz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Savaş Merdan helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Mersin got a freekick which was hit by Savaş Merdan. Cabbar Bircan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferman Şah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahim Ahi in the 97th minute of the match.
