The long shot by Ekrem Tanbay in the 3rd minute really tested Çağlar Gelenbe's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Çağlar Gelenbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Batur Oğuralp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demiralp Tanfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Dörtyol getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Samet Tuygun hit a great ball. Cevat Vahdettin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Demiralp Tanfer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batur Oğuralp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Çağlar Gelenbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ataman Oğuztüzün in the 16th minute of play. Batur Oğuralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Demiralp Tanfer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Batur Oğuralp in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demiralp Tanfer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Kerkuk's goalkeeper Çağlar Gelenbe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hakkı Deniz Erdemalp. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ataman Oğuztüzün in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Çağlar Gelenbe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 33 minutes, Rafet Akdoğu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kerkuk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafet Akdoğu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Hakkı Deniz Erdemalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ataman Oğuztüzün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hakkı Deniz Erdemalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hakkı Deniz Erdemalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çağlar Gelenbe having to interfere. If Ataman Oğuztüzün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ataman Oğuztüzün stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Kerkuk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zekai Cebel to maneuver through the defense. Ataman Oğuztüzün fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çağlar Gelenbe having to interfere. After having played for 58 minutes, Ataman Oğuztüzün managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Çağlar Gelenbe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ataman Oğuztüzün, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Çağlar Gelenbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ataman Oğuztüzün in the 76th minute of play. Kerkuk's Çağlar Gelenbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakkı Deniz Erdemalp in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Dörtyol booed when Kerkuk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulhamit Özbekkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Alaaddin Öztaylan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kerkuk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dörtyol the free kick. Çağlar Gelenbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ataman Oğuztüzün in the 84th minute of play. Hakkı Deniz Erdemalp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Çağlar Gelenbe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Dörtyol's Hakkı Deniz Erdemalp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Çağlar Gelenbe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ataman Oğuztüzün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demiralp Tanfer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafet Akdoğu went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kerkuk were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Dörtyol's much stronger midfield.
