Furkan Tapık's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferman Şah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Samet Akarslan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mersin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 27 minutes, Samet Akarslan made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ferman Şah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Furkan Tapık who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Ferman Şah when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mersin's goalkeeper Ferman Şah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alkan Nasreddin charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Furkan Tapık received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ferman Şah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Yavuz Yalçınkaya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferman Şah was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Ahmet Çağrı Sebil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cabbar Bircan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Furkan Tapık managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baspinar's supporters rose to their feet, but Furkan Tapık was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferman Şah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Baspinar were the better team. Baspinar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
