Yetkin Akarsu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Berke Toregün recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. cobanspor's Sezgin Evvel got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 minutes, Haşmet Şahinalp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the cobanspor and the Kerkuk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes cobanspor got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Erdem Acaroğlu. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Rafet Akdoğu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kerkuk's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafet Akdoğu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baha Melih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Batur Oğuralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Abdulhamit Özbekkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes Kerkuk got a freekick which was hit by Alaaddin Öztaylan. Batur Oğuralp took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baha Melih. Baha Melih dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the cobanspor players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kerkuk.
