But to his dismay, Hamdi Soysaldı quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nejat Alp Kaygun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Çağlar Gelenbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kutay Yener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CİMBOMBOM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Rafet Akdoğu scored to the left of an out of position Murathan Sefa, making the score, 1-1. Batur Oğuralp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Murathan Sefa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute Rafet Akdoğu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murathan Sefa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafet Akdoğu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 29th minute. Kerkuk's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 33rd minute of the match Rıdvan Başay sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Çağlar Gelenbe skillfully saved the ball. If Nejat Alp Kaygun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, one of Kerkuk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kerkuk. The Kerkuk players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CİMBOMBOM were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafet Akdoğu to make the kick off. Kutay Yener's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Çağlar Gelenbe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. If Kutay Yener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CİMBOMBOM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nejat Alp Kaygun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Rafet Akdoğu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murathan Sefa was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. If Rafet Akdoğu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Rafet Akdoğu notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of CİMBOMBOM's Murathan Sefa. Murathan Sefa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Çağlar Gelenbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nejat Alp Kaygun in the 71st minute of play. Kutay Yener succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 72nd playminute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CİMBOMBOM had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
