But to his dismay, Azim Şaki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Yavuz Selim Cumhur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutlu Akçasu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as ÜNYE SPOR's Tanju Çolak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yavuz Selim Cumhur. That made the score 1-1 after 23 minutes of play. Haldun Turkay hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Enver Kayrar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Yavuz Selim Cumhur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fazlı Sadun came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Kastamonu Spor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fazlı Sadun couldn't finish the play. Fazlı Sadun kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Kastamonu Spor's Azim Şaki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denizhan Hatemoğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kutlu Akçasu made a kick off. Enver Kayrar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, ÜNYE SPOR's Denizhan Hatemoğlu got control of the ball when Azim Şaki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kutlu Akçasu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denizhan Hatemoğlu made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Azim Şaki sent off a good shot on target. The referee ignored Kastamonu Spor's protests and gave Azim Şaki a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kastamonu Spor getting a freekick after 84 minutes play.
