Reşit Teren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Faruk Kabadayı went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Resul Okanay kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. galatasaray's Reşit Teren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Resul Okanay in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Resul Okanay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reşit Teren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Resul Okanay made a precise shot to the right of Reşit Teren. galatasaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Reşit Teren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Resul Okanay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes Edirne got a freekick which was hit by Karhan Muammer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilla Titiz in the 61st minute of play forced Edirne's goalkeeper Murathan Yaşar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Faruk Kabadayı kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Resul Okanay fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edirne's protests and gave Resul Okanay a yellow card for diving instead. Reşit Teren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karhan Muammer in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Tuncay Başhekim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reşit Teren. Tuncay Başhekim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6.
