In the 10th minute, Edirne's Tuncay Başhekim dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Erhan Saner came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Edirne's Karhan Muammer. But to his dismay, Karhan Muammer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Erhan Saner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karhan Muammer in the 17th minute. In the 19th match minute, Kızılelma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuh Aköz to maneuver through the defense. Edirne's Karhan Muammer got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Erhan Saner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 23rdth minute of the game Tuncay Başhekim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kızılelma's Erhan Saner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 played minutes Edirne got a freekick which was hit by Ali Faruk Kabadayı. Murathan Yaşar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sümer Oba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Karhan Muammer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Edirne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Karhan Muammer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Edirne's goal looked a bit too open when Sümer Oba came free, but Murathan Yaşar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karhan Muammer took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erhan Saner. Erhan Saner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Sümer Oba made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Kızılelma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aytuğ Rikap to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute of the match Edirne got a corner. Kızılelma's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ercüment Tanırcan ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Edirne's corner Ercüment Tanırcan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erhan Saner quite easily take care of the ball. After 61 played minutes Edirne got a freekick which was hit by Resul Okanay. 62 minutes into the game, Sümer Oba recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Murathan Yaşar. Sümer Oba showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Thanks to some nice moves Eyüp Tayyip could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Murathan Yaşar however easily saved by the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erhan Saner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erhan Saner came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Edirne's Tuncay Başhekim. But to his dismay, Tuncay Başhekim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Erhan Saner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karhan Muammer in the 85th minute of play.
