Şener Keremşah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Asım Yazgı in the 10th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Trabzonspor got a freekick which was hit by Kerim Zorlu. Şeray Saraç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tacettin Genç having to interfere. Ahmet Haşim Tümenbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Ahmet Haşim Tümenbay got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 34th minute Avni Şahkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şener Keremşah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Ahmet Haşim Tümenbay notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Trabzonspor's Tacettin Genç. Tacettin Genç was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ahmet Haşim Tümenbay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ahmet Asım Yazgı made the kick off in the second half. Şeray Saraç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Tacettin Genç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Trabzonspor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Araklıspor:s goal. Rafettin Pınarbaşı walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Şeray Saraç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Asım Yazgı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şener Keremşah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Ahmet Asım Yazgı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Baki Özertem blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tacettin Genç having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Mehdi Seylan got a free kick in the 86th minute. Şeray Saraç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tacettin Genç having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Ahmet Baki Özertem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Araklıspor walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
